About Michael Conlon

Michael was born in Iowa and is an avid Iowa Hawkeyes Fan; He graduated from the prestigious St. John’s University, with a Degree in Finance and Business Administration. St. John’s University is one of the last all male colleges in the United States and is run by the largest order of Benedictine Monks in the World. Michael had a unique opportunity to work as a Legislative Aide in the US Congress, House of Representatives and lived in D.C. After his brief stint in politics, he moved back to Minnesota to work in the Private Sector as a National Sales Manager for a large capital equipment firm, in his spare time Michael pursued his Private Pilot’s License; logging as many hours as time and more importantly money would allow. Michael has also been a Big Brother and Sister Sponsor and has worked with Catholic Charities. Michael was asked to be part of a business contingent spearheaded by Rick Scott to promote the Tampa Bay Area in South America with a few business leaders, young entrepreneurs and people like Mike that understood the culture and business environment. Mike was chosen by his peers, fellow parents and members of his child’s school to be the Vice President of the “ Dad’s Club” and have a seat and vote on the agenda of the School, sadly St. John’s Vianney Catholic School was CLOSED permanently due to the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Michael was also one of the founding members to help launch the Downtown St. Petersburg BNI Chapter “BNI Champions” and was the inaugural Vice President.

In 2000 he decided with a business partner to launch a Mortgage and Title Company which quickly grew to 35 employees with locations in four states. American Patriot Mortgage and Home/Land Security Title quickly took off, the branding, timing of the market and low interest rates helped propel their rapid growth. The 2008 Financial Crisis forced Michael and his Business Partner to launch a new company that focused on Asset Protection, Foreclosure Defense and Forensic Audits.

Michael has launched other successful entities: GBH Funding, LLC, White Rock Investments Group and Global Sports Funding, LLC. which lends money to professional athletes based on their guaranteed contracts with their respective teams. This skill set requires working relationships with General Managers, Sports Agents and Attorney’s, which is a very specialized niche'. Michael has taken this relationship capital and proximity to power to be able to advocate, represent and negotiate Real Estate transactions and the ability to provide alternative and creative funding options. His boutique lending firm offers both Private Money Lending as well as Hard Money. GBH Funding can also provide Working Capital Loans, Factoring Loans, and Commercial Lending; a Project Diagnostic and Program Agnostic Firm. Michael also works in the small to mid-cap Investment Banking Space helping clients that are looking to raise 50-300M. Specializing in Gaming, Medical and Telcom.

In his spare time Michael enjoys boating, reading, singing, college and pro football, playing basketball tennis, pickle ball, and scuba diving. His wife Carolina is a Master Degreed Tax Accountant originally

from Bogota, Colombia and they have two small children together Matteo ( 8) and Myles (3). A few fun facts about Michael, he was recognized by Sean Hannity of Fox News as an “Outstanding American” for his work with children of fallen troops. Kevin Harrington of the Shark Tank a local resident of Clearwater, Florida has included Michael in his Inner Circle of local entrepreneurs. Michael loves traveling, meeting new people and being a father, mentor and good role model for his sons Matteo and Myles. His wife Carolina enjoys his passion for travel as well. Michael's mantra to life is to live with “Passion and Purpose.”

Michael has done almost everything in the Real Estate space from land acquisition, remediation, fix and flip, new construction financing to distressed property acquisitions. As a Licensed Realtor and Lender, he has a unique educational background and skill set which helps him analyze deals from both the Lending side as well as the sales and marketing aspect of the transaction. I am a resource first, friend or associate second and ultimately a relationship coordinator. I’m excited to also pursue launching a Podcast in 2025 and am currently working on forming a foundation called M3 which stands for Michael, Matteo and Myles (my sons) and the Mantra and Crest will read Memories, Milestones, and Motivation. It’s designed for fathers to be present, impactful, responsible and accountable in their sons’ lives helping mold them into young men for future generations. “The more commitments I seem to have the more committed I am” saying NO isn’t in my DNA.
